Windows Development
Over the years, much of our experience has been developing software for the Microsoft Windows platform.
We have developed software using Visual C++ and MFC since 1995. More recently we have also used C# and the .NET framework.
The projects we have worked on include:
- Development of a clinical user interface for MRI scanning equipment
- Development of products used to extract data from mobile phones in a forensically-sound manner
- Development of software used to update the computers on safety-critical systems
- Development of various pieces of bespoke software used to control ID card readers and printers
Web Development
More recently, we have been involved in the development of a number of websites and web applications.
We now have considerable experience of using PHP and the PHP-based Zend Framework and WordPress. In conjunction with this we have used JavaScript and the jQuery JavaScript library.
E-commerce Websites
We have worked on the development of a custom e-commerce framework for Windmill Computing. This includes a number of sophisticated features, including the automated caluclation of product prices. This allows the merchant to price either based on the buy price and margin, or list price and discount; it also allows for buying a product in one currency and selling it in another.
CRM Applications
We have developed a browser-based application which is used to manage the process of selling online advertising. It is intended for use by sales, management and accounts over multiple offices in the same organisation. It also links up with the websites where the advertising is published.
Enrollment Systems
We have created several browser-based applications used to enroll people in ID card schemes. These allow photos to either be taken using a webcam on a PC, or uploaded as an existing file. The photos are stored on a server where they can be accessed by the software used to print the cards.
